Jesus Messiah Rocked the House today

Today we enjoyed an extraordinary presentation by Pastor Curtis Bridgeman entitled "Jesus Messiah".  This was the best Christmas program ever hosted at NVMC.  Pastor Curtis utilized every ministry group from the Launch Kids, Edge, Radiate Students in partnership with his worship department and the result was many lives saved.

I found myself reflecting back and realizing how good God has been to us.  The talent that he is raising up inside of the house in incredible and God is anointing them to break yokes and remove burdens.

Here are the Highlights of the day:

  • Peter Smith blessed us with another Newspaper article
  • Over 20 people were saved today
  • I do not have the official attendance count but my assistant told me we she thought we were close to 2,000 people today (Regardless - we pulled all curtains and people were standing literally around the walking track... this is a first)
  • This is the highest attendance for a non advertised event in our history (Easter, Friend day, ECT)
  • Countless visitors were in attendance
  • Mrs. Anita Oxford shared about how we touched the heart of over 600 people in the portland outreach with Clothes, food, and encouragement.  We Touched them with Hope... His name is Jesus!
  • I enjoyed the different Solo Parts today... My Favorite was Little Devon this kid is awesome!  It was also great to have Carrie Davis doing a special part.  Pastor Curtis and Cha Cha as always were amazing.
  • Our ministry has Impacted the heart of the city
The past several weeks New Vision Ministry Center has shown it's diversity, stability, and resolve to reach a city.  We have been creative and bold to step outside of the definition box of church as usual and dare to do something great for God.  With this pursuit is a price to pay and sometimes it is very painful but when you step back and see what God is doing you will find the price that is paid is well worth it.

Be encouraged this week and be confident in your church.  We are on the Move and God is with us... If you doubt it "Come and See".  Perfection is not within our means but his strength is found in our weakness.

NVMC is a church like you have never seen it!

Today begins my 4th year as a pastor

Today was an incredible day at NVMC.TV as we experienced another demonstration of the power of God.  It seemed to be a bit of a battle but we realize God show's up when we praise him! (even if we don't feel him... he is there)

Stephanie Hilbert did an outstanding Job preaching in the second service today.  We are blessed because of the word of the Lord that she brought forth today.  I appreciate her humbleness and desire to seek God for direction and preach with Boldness and most of the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.  Many lives were touched because of her ministry today.

Today marks the beginning of the 4th year for me being the pastor at NVMC.  As I look back I scratch my head in amazement of how quickly time goes bye.  I am thankful for the opportunity that God has given me to lead this church.  The Past 4 years have been challenging yet very rewarding.  I have made some mistakes in this journey but the people have extended grace to me to mature and God has given me the strength to endure.  I pray that somehow we have been a blessing to your life in this period of time.

My prayer is for God to do more in the 4th year than he did in the last 3 combined!

I guess Happy pastor anniversary to me... :) !

Have a great week and always know I am praying for you!

Oh what a change

Pastor Curtis and the NVMC choir practices every tuesday night in preparation for leading the congregation into the presence of God for our weekly services.  I appreciate the diligence Pastor Curtis brings with his highest level of excellence in leading this ministry.  Truly there is none better in all of the world.

In the choir lies many stories of how God has transformed lives and they become praisers and worshipers.  But Last night I got a text message that made me come out of my skin.  They were having solo try outs for some upcoming musicals and someone said something that can remind us all of what God is truly doing at NVMC.

One young lady would try out (Not naming her because I haven't asked her yet) and she said "This is the first time I have done this SOBER"  WOW!

I just had to share this because it was such an encouragement to me.  Many times we can get sidetracked by things that doesn't really matter in comparison to the souls that being transformed.

I hope I see you tonight at church!

Jefferson Mall Christmas Parade Highlight

November 9, 2008 Truly an amazing Sunday

Today was nothing short of a Divine appointment with God.  Words will not be able to describe that which took place today at  New Vision Ministry Center  .

It was a battle for me personally just to arrive.  I woke up with a horrific headache that left me disoriented and in severe pain.  Has there been someone to call I would have but it was though I must get to the church.  I managed to get through the first service but I knew I would most certainly struggle in the second.

Pastor Curtis and the New Vision Choir would began praise and worship and I just wanted to be in the crowd today.  I walked from side to side and just went and stood at different places of the church just to see what it was like in the congregation.  I loved it as all types of people were actually engaging in worship together and I was a part of it.

Worship would soon go to a deeper level that invited an overwhelming presence of God.  It was a time for God to reveal his glory.  As the choir stopped singing and the band stop playing the praise continued from the lips of the congregation.  We wanted something even more and God honored as we cried out he began to literally sweep over the house and lives were touched.  Tears were flowing like rivers, lives were being transformed, and weights of life were being removed.  It was more than intense, it was more than Powerful, it was the divine presence of God.

It was at this time I felt the spirit of God say give an altar call for the sinners and immediately more than 40 people came forward to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  God was moving and the hearts of men, women, and children were turning to him.  People were being saved all over the place and freedom was being released.

We also finished the Mentality series that was truly Life Changing...  We are now thinking with the mind of Christ and Don't forget the article I read you. Check out Clay Noe's Blog  to see it.

Our attendance is exploding and God is blessing us as this is the 4th week of standing room only in the 2nd service.  God is up to something big and we are waiting for the doors to open to our new home.  though the Vision tarries, wait for it, for it shall surely come to pass.

NVMC let us never take for granted what God is doing in our lives.  What is happening is because of our commitment to unity and the pursuit of his presence.  Let us place great value on the lives changed and as we charged today... Call someone, call everyone and tell them to  "Come and See!"

I will never forget what happened today... Thank you Jesus!

Quotes:
Someone went to the parking lot and someone was crying they said "I don't understand I have never felt this before, I have tried everything but nothing feels like this"

Text Messages:  "My Gosh I'm still crying. I was so ashamed but I couldn't stop crying,  the lady next to me ask if she could give me a hug and I cried even more"

Myspace:  "I have seen my dad cry 3 times in my life and today was one of them... I am catholic and today I experienced something I have never felt, God is in your church"

Email:  "Pastor thank you for allowing the Holy spirit to fill us today"
